Example: pricing 6,000 sq ft, 5× per week
At a production rate of 2,600 sq ft per hour with 2 restrooms, one visit takes about 2.8 labor hours. With a $17/hr wage, 20% payroll burden, 5% supplies, 15% overhead and a 20% margin, that is about $86 per visit or $1,872 per month. These are starting assumptions. Change any number above to match your market.
Bidding tips for law office cleaning
- Private offices clean slower than open plans. Count the rooms and use a lower production rate than a general office.
- State in the proposal that your crew does not move or read documents, and offer to sign a confidentiality agreement. Firms often ask for one anyway.
- Ask about wood furniture and high-end finishes. Name the products you will use on them, and price periodic wood care as an add-on.
Typical law office cleaning scope of work
- Clean reception area, seating and glass entry doors
- Reset conference rooms, wipe tables and clean glass walls
- Vacuum private offices and hallways
- Empty trash and recycling (shred bins handled by the firm's vendor)
- Dust clear surfaces only, leaving files and papers in place
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies
- Clean break room counters, sink and appliance exteriors
